Popular Modes Of Arrival
Bergen is serviced by Bergen Flesland Airport. This is where most people arrive in the city.
When traveling from the airport you will have several different options.
A modern light rail system that takes you all the way from the airport to the city center. The ride takes 45 minutes and is by all accounts the cheapest option, with adult tickets costing 47 Nok. More information about tickets.
Operated by the same public transport company as Bybanen, the also use the same ticket system. These buses unfortunately do not have a direct line to the city center and you will have to check the routes to find the best connections.
Flybussen is an express bus route intended to transport people from the city to the airport. This option is usually on the pricier side.
Taxi
Located outside the airport terminal building. Be aware that taxies in Norway are expensive. Expect to pay 500 NOK and above for this option. Some offer fixed prices. There are several different taxi companies operating in the Bergen area.

Arriving Bergen By Train
Located in Strømgaten 4 in the city center. Its location is right beside the Bybanen stop called Nonneseter and a short 5 minute walk to the main bus station.
Exploring Bergen
As a city of modest size, Bergen is easily walkable. But for convenience sake there are plenty of options to make traversing the city a breeze. If you are traveling to a specific location, getting on a bus, Bybanen or taking an express boat will be your best option. Bus stops are located all around the city and the surrounding areas.
