Fisketorget is Bergen’s iconic Fish Market. Here you will find the freshest seafood, all with a breathtaking view of Bryggen (Bergen Wharf) From May 1st-September 30th the square is full of different food stalls preparing fresh sea food, where you can browse the market and sit down to eat on the benches inside the tents. In Mathallen, the indoor food market located right next to the square, you’ll discover two lovely restaurants: Fjellskål & Fish Me. Here you can relax and enjoy a freshly prepared meal, or browse the selection of seafood to take home and cook yourself. With everything from bibimbap, kanjang chicken or Wagyu entrecôte, this restaurant is proud to be the first and only restaurant in Bergen to offer authentic Korean BBQ, where the food gets prepared on a built-in grill on your table. It’s also worth to know that Kogi also has a food truck located at Fisketorget every now and then.

Tasty Burgers in Bergen

With a wide variety of burgers, Hekkan is a great eating experience. Here you can get everything from totally plain burgers, vegan burgers, low carb burgers with salad replacing the burger buns to a butter burger with cheese, red onion, pickles and the “world’s greatest butter”.

Burger Boys are known for their juicy and tasteful smash burgers and dirty fries. With its reasonable prices and great selection it is the perfect choice if you want a delicious burger meal at a nice price!

Inside has been a popular burger place since 2012, when they opened Inside Fløien Rock Café. When they opened Inside Rock Café Korskirken, it was out of necessity because they had become so popular, it was hard to get a table at their old location. Today, Inside Rock Café Korskirken is a great place to enjoy burgers. With their meat from Vestland County and burger buns made locally by Baker Brun, they offer great burgers and great vibes. They even have pool tables, shuffleboards, and darts.

Burgeren is a relatively new burger restaurant in Bergen, as it opened in 2022, and has quickly become a favorite among burger enjoyers. It offers a selection of burgers that are all very appetizing. With their locally produced meat, they offer everything from a juicy truffle burger to a classic cheddar burger.

If you are looking for tasty vegan fast food, Dirty Vegan is worth a visit. Their restaurant looks fresh with its vibrant pink walls and awesome neon signs, but their burgers are what really makes it worth a visit.
