For nearly 80 years, Trekroneren has been a beloved institution on Kong Oscars gate in Bergen. This iconic sausage stand serves up one of Europe’s largest selection of sausages, paired with its signature glass of refreshing raspberry juice—a combo that’s kept locals and visitors coming back for decades.

The sausage stand was founded in 1948, and in 1978 when Dag Hjellestad took over, offering Vienna sausage for just three Norwegian crowns – hence its name Trekroneren(Three Crowns). While prices have risen and the menu has expanded, the stand’s commitment to quality and its friendly, welcoming service remain unchanged.

The sausages, crafted by a local producer, feature recipes from Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, alongside two traditional Norwegian options. Favorites include the San Francisco sausage, Jaktwürst, cheese-and-bacon sausage, and reindeer sausage, ensuring there’s a flavor for everyone—from curious foodies to longtime regulars.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or indulging in a local classic, Trekroneren offers a taste that everyone can enjoy. Don’t forget to pair your sausage with their famous raspberry juice for the full experience!
