Tundra and Lightning is an all-new rock festival making its debut in autumn 2025. Scheduled for October, the event will unfold at USF Verftet, a great venue for live music in Bergen.
The lineup promises intense performances from bands like Of All Things, The Good The Bad and The Zugly, Orange Goblin, Phantom Fire, and Heavy Lungs.
While the festival is primarily for those 18 and older, a guardian arrangement allows attendees aged 12 and up to join, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Are you a fan of guitars? Do you play yourself, or simply enjoy listening to great guitar music? This year, the Tino Andersen International Guitar Festival comes to both Bergen and Balestrand. The festival celebrates the art and joy of guitar playing.
Concerts will be held in Grieghallen in Bergen and at Kviknes Hotel in Balestrand, a charming village north of Bergen. The program also includes courses, a free guitar camp for kids, lectures, exhibitions, and a competition.
In Grieghallen, you can attend three main concerts. The first features the duo Aniello Desiderio and Zoran Dukic, both legends of classical guitar. This is their first joint performance in Bergen. They have collaborated since the 1990s and perform a mix of classical and modern works.
The second concert is a Double Solo Recital with Kristina Vårlid and Marko Topchii. Vårlid is one of Norway’s finest guitarists. Topchii has won more than 100 international prizes, including over 50 first-place awards. Last year, he won the very first Tino Andersen International Guitar Festival competition.
The third concert is a Brazilian evening with Mario and Beatriz Ulloa together with Duo Assad. It promises an unforgettable night filled with rhythm, passion, and magic. Mario is one of the leading figures in Brazilian and Latin American guitar. His daughter Beatriz adds her beautiful voice to the performance. The legendary Duo Assad features the renowned brothers Sérgio and Odair.

Amazing Space is an indie band from Bergen. Their debut album, Parallel Dreams, was released in May this year. The music blends synth sounds, 80s and 90s shoegaze, and touches of Americana. Popular songs include “Surrounded by the Absence,” “Parallel Dreams,” and “Ode to You.” The album has received excellent reviews.
With warm vocals and impressive guitar solos, it is a strong debut. The members have played in other well-known bands, but during Covid, two of them began frequent studio sessions that led to the creation of Amazing Space. If you enjoy indie music, this band is worth checking out.

Nightwish members Tuomas Holopainen, Troy Donockley, and Johanna Kurkela started Auri as a side project. They planned to make an album together in 2011, but their busy schedules delayed the project. In 2017, when Nightwish took a break, they finally came together to work on it. The result was their debut album Auri, released in 2018 on Nuclear Blast Records.
The music is deeply influenced by Donockley’s Irish folk background, with elements of world music, soundtracks, and progressive rock. In 2021, they released their second album, II – Those We Don’t Speak Of. Auri is a Finnish prog-folk trio that promises an atmospheric and magical concert in Grieghallen.
Datarock

Datarock is an indie, alternative rock band from Bergen. They started in 2000, and their first album was called Datarock Datarock. The album was released in 2005, and this year marks its 20th anniversary.
For the first time since 2005, the band will perform the entire debut album live. With songs like Fa-Fa-Fa and Computer Camp Love, they are ready to celebrate with their fans at Røkeriet USF this fall. The Real Jobs will open the evening as the support band.
The debut album was recorded with no budget and released independently. It still received great reviews and reached number 36 on NME’s list of the Best Albums of 2006.
Join the celebration of Datarock and their first album at Verftet this October. The band will play the full album, and fans can also get a special anniversary edition on vinyl.

Bergen Big Band is one of Norway’s most active big bands and has been since 1991. In 2021, they collaborated with Norwegian saxophonist and composer Marius Neset to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Neset wrote a special piece for the occasion.
This evening, you can experience that music live once again. The performance has also been recorded, with plans for an album release in 2026.

Real Ones is a rock, pop, and folk band from Bergen. The group started in 1994, when the five members were teenagers around 14 to 15 years old. They have played together ever since and have built a strong reputation in Norway over the past 31 years.
Their debut album, Comments From The Cheap Seats, was released in 1997. Their breakthrough came in 2002 with the album Bratislava. This September, they released a new album called So Say All of Us and will tour Norway with over 20 concerts. The band Bare Folk will support them.

Turbonegro is one of Norway’s most iconic rock bands. They play music in the genres of rock, deathpunk, punk rock, and hard rock. The band was formed in 1989 by Rune Grønn, Pål Bøttger Kjærnes, and Thomas Seltzer. They have taken a few short breaks but have always reunited.Their vocalist Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby left the group in 2010. The following summer, the band returned with a new vocalist named Tony Sylvester.
They have won major awards and released two EPs and eleven albums. Turbonegro is known for being a powerful live band, full of energy and passion. They played many festival shows this summer and are now preparing for a tour. It starts in Bergen on October 30 and continues to cities like Oslo and Trondheim.

Sivert Høyem is an acclaimed Norwegian rock musician. He was the vocalist of the rock band Madrugada from 1995 to 2008, and again from 2018 to the present.
