Bergenfest 2025 is a four-day music festival held at the historic Bergenhus Fortress, right in the heart of Bergen and close to the iconic Bryggen. The festival features open-air concerts in a beautiful and central outdoor setting. The festival began in 1993 and has been held annually ever since.
Bergenfest presents a diverse lineup of both Norwegian and international artists across a wide range of genres. This year’s program includes acts such as Alanis Morissette, Aurora, Confidence Man, Roxette, and 070 Shake.
During the festival, you’ll find various food stalls offering meals and drinks on-site. There’s also a chance to purchase official Bergenfest merchandise, as well as merch from individual artists performing at the event.
Bergenfest is open to all ages. However, attendees under 15 must be accompanied by a guardian who is at least 23 years old. If you’re 15 or older, you can attend on your own. Parents can bring children under the age of 3 until 6 PM each festival day. Kids under 3 do not need a ticket but must wear hearing protection.

Beyond the Gates is a four-day metal festival held annually in Bergen, Norway. The event takes place across three iconic venues: Grieghallen, USF Verftet, and Kulturhuset i Bergen.
This year’s lineup includes legendary acts like Opeth, King Diamond, Triptykon (Official), Paradise Lost, and Gehenna.
In addition to the heavy-hitting concert lineup, the festival offers the “Beyond the Gates Experience” — a series of guided tours and excursions designed to showcase Norwegian nature, culture, and history both before and during the festival.

In August, Dragefjellet in Bergen transforms into a charming mini-festival for both kids and adults. Originally known as Sydnesfjellet, this area is the northernmost part of the Sydneshaugen ridge in the Sydnes neighborhood — known for its cozy, cobblestone streets and unique character.
The festival offers a mix of activities, great food, and live music — all in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience with a truly special vibe.
2025 marks the ninth edition of the festival. Entry is free, and all activities are affordably priced. The festival is 100% volunteer-run, and any profits go directly toward making next year’s event possible.

Feelings Festival is a two-day music festival held at Bergenhus Fortress, right in the center of Bergen. As a relatively new event, it first launched in 2023 but quickly became a hit — and is now an annual late-summer celebration of music in Bergen.
The festival features everything from DJs and silent discos to great live performances from both Norwegian and international artists. This year’s lineup includes names like Kygo, Arif & Stig, Cezinando, Astrid S, and Ballinciaga.
You’ll also find food and bar areas within the festival grounds. Feelings Festival has an 18+ age limit, and there is no guardian arrangement for younger guests. The Premium Pass is restricted to those 20 and over due to spirits being served in those areas. Festival and artist merchandise will be available for purchase on-site.

Tundra and Lightning is a brand-new rock festival launching for the very first time in autumn 2025. Set to take place in October, the entire event will be held at USF Verftet, one of Bergen’s most iconic live music venues.
The lineup features high-energy acts such as Of All Things, The Good The Bad and The Zugly, Orange Goblin, Phantom Fire, and Heavy Lungs.
